We've added two new features to the lineup optimizers to allow for more fine-tuning of optimizer builds.
The new features that come with this update:
- › Control Lock Slots
- › Set Global Player Exposures
Control Lock Slots:
You can now go into player cards and switch between the different lock slots available. This lets you choose whether to lock a player into their regular slot (ex: WR), or a flex slot. For Showdown slates you can use this same functionality to select between locking a player into Captain or Flex slots.
With NBA right around the corner the intention is that this feature will also let you choose between alternate position slots and Guard/Forward slots. So you'll be able to better control exactly which slot you want to place a player into.
Global Player Exposure:
We've added a new setting under "Build Rules" where you can set a max exposure for all players.
By default it is set to 100%, which means a player can appear in every single lineup you generate. By lowering it down, you can get more varied lineups and not be fully exposed to any one player.
For example, setting max exposure to 70% means that if you generate 10 lineups, the most that any one player can appear in your lineups is in 7/10 lineups.
Note, there are two exceptions to exposure settings:
- 1. If you lock a player into a slot, they will appear in 100% of lineups.
- 2. If you stack a QB, that QB will appear in 100% of lineups.
We plan to have settings for individual player exposure available soon, so you can set both global limits as well as individual player limits. Adjusting exposure settings is a feature that is limited to premium subscribers.
We have a fairly large update that we've been working on that will be going live in time for the NBA season start, but if you have any feedback or ideas for new features, drop us a note through our feedback form
