One of the features we're often asked about is the ability to upload custom projections to use in our DFS Lineup Optimizers. Today we've added the ability to do just that! This is a new feature for premium subscribers, which allows for a custom .csv projections file to be uploaded and used with our Lineup Optimizers.
Currently there is a limit of applying just one custom projections file at a time per slate; however we'll be expanding this functionality to allow for multiple projections and the ability to blend projections sources.
Getting Started with the new Upload functionality:
- › You can find the upload feature in the "Build Rules" settings
- › Download the template .csv file we provide to get a file with players, our projections, and a blank field for your to enter you own projections
- › Fill in this blank value with your own custom projection and then upload the file back
- › Any players you do not fill in a projection for will continue to use our own projections
Additional Info on Custom Projections:
Your projections will save across sessions so when you come back to the site it will continue to apply your saved projections, until you either switch them off or upload a different file.
Right now you have to use the template file we provide in order to match players; however we're working on a way to upload any list of player names and projections, and not have to use our .csv template. This will be released in a future update.
Players removed from the pool will not have custom projections applied. If an MLB player for example is not in the lineup, or a player is injured and not playing, they are removed from the pool so you don't have to worry about them.
The most important field in the template we provide is the "PlayerID" field, this is what we use to apply your custom projections. That field and the "your_projection" field are the only 2 fields which our software uses to match and apply custom projections.
In the next few weeks we're planning to roll out some major new features ahead of the NHL and NBA seasons starting, to both our DFS tools and our Player Props tools. If you have any feature requests or feedback on the tools, drop us a note through our feedback form
